Olga Gvozdiuk - Physiotherapist Assistant in Mississauga, ON | Advanced Physio Plus

Physiotherapist Assistant. Master's Degree in Physical Education. Master of Sport in Rowing.

Sport has been at the centre of Olga Gvozdiuk's life for as long as she can remember. She rowed competitively at a professional level, holds the title Master of Sport of Russia in rowing, and competed internationally.

Olga holds a Master's Degree in Physical Education and later completed medical training in nursing - a professional path formed at the intersection of sport, medicine and rehabilitation. At Advanced Physio Plus she works as a Physiotherapist Assistant, delivering the assigned components of treatment plans under the supervision and direction of our registered physiotherapists.

Her choice of profession came from something more personal. A serious injury of her own, and the surgery and recovery that followed, taught her from the patient's side of the table what good rehabilitation is actually worth. That is when she decided to build a career around it.

After relocating to Canada she continued in rehabilitation and now practises here as a Physiotherapist Assistant.

Sport remains central to her life. Olga runs, rows, swims and trains with weights, and has completed two marathons and a half marathon.

Today she continues to develop in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, bringing together the experience of a professional athlete, formal training in both medicine and physical education, and hands-on work with patients.
